The WorldShip database Backup can be done in WorldShip and in the WorldShip Support Utility.
Note: A database backup can only be restored from the WorldShip Support Utility.
To Backup in WorldShip do the following:
On the WorldShip ribbon, click the Support tab and then Backup Data. The Backup Files window opens and shows the default location where to save (C:ProgramData\UPS\WSTD\SUPPORT\DBSupport). To change the default location, click Browse and navigate to the location where you want to save the backup. Continue from step 7
To Backup in the UPS WorldShip Support Utility, close WorldShip and do the following:
On the Windows task bar, click Start. (For Windows 8.x move mouse to right side of screen and click search)
In the Search box, type UPS WorldShip Support Utility.
Click UPS WorldShip Support Utility in the results.
In the UPS WorldShip Support Utility window, double click Data Maintenance.
In the UPS WorldShip Data Maintenance window, Database Operations section, click Backup.
The UPS WorldShip -Backup Files window opens and shows the default location where to save (C:\ProgramData\UPS\WSTD\SUPPORT\DBSupport). To change the default location, click Browse and navigate to the location where you want to save the backup.
Note: If your Shipper account is HAZMAT, Dangerous Goods, Category A enabled, you can select the check box to Include NRFvlDB in Backup which will allow you to backup any custom commodities you have set up.
Click Backup. A UPS WorldShip - Backup Files progress window opens and shows the Backup details.
When the Backup is finished, a message pops up indicating the backup is complete and where the backup is located. Click OK and follow the prompts to exit the UPS WorldShip Support Utility.
When you are prompted with the message "Are you sure you want to exit the UPS Support application?" Click Yes.
