Note: The Hardware tab does not appear if electronic scale and dimensioner support is not available in your country.
Use the Hardware tab in the System Preferences Editor window to set up an electronic scale and/or an electronic dimensioner.
To set up your hardware system preferences:
On the Tools tab, select System Preferences and then Hardware. The Hardware tab in the System Preferences Editor window appears.
Under Electronic Scale Configuration, click the down arrow in the Scale Port box and select the scale port.
Tip: All fields under Electronic Scale Configuration become inactive if you successfully set up an integrated dimensioner (which includes a scale).
Click the down arrow in the Scale Type box and select the scale type. The path for the corresponding scale configuration file appears below the Scale Type box.
The following scale types are supported for the COM1, COM2, COM3 and COM4 scale ports:

The following scale types are supported for the USB scale port (if USB is supported by your system):

Tip: The Scale Type box may also list additional scale types that you have added.
Click the Test Scale button to test the scale and settings. The Test Active Scale window appears and displays the status of the scale connection and the weight registered by the scale. See Test Active Scale Window Overview.
Click the OK button. The System Preferences Editor window appears.
Under Electronic Dimensioner Configuration, click the down arrow in the Dimensioner Port box and select the dimensioner port.
Click the down arrow in the Dimensioner Type box and select the dimensioner model name.
The following dimensioner types are supported:
Express Cube 265
Quantronix CubiScan 100
Quantronix CubiScan 110
Mettler CSN 810 Dimensioner
Mettler CSN 810 Integrated Dimensioner
Mettler CSN 910 Dimensioner
Mettler CSN 910 Integrated Dimensioner
Under Data Mode, select the appropriate check boxes (if needed) for the appropriate data mode type as supported by the dimensioner. See Data Mode Types for Electronic Dimensioners.
Click the Test Dimensioner button to test the dimensioner and settings. The Test Active Dimensioner/Scanner window appears and displays the status of the dimensioner connection and the weight and dimensions registered by the dimensioner. See Test Active Dimensioner/Scanner Window Overview.
Do one of the following:
Click the Apply button to accept the changes made on any System Preferences Editor tab and keep the System Preferences Editor window open.
Click the OK button to accept the changes made on any System Preferences Editor tab and close the System Preferences Editor window.
Click the Cancel button to remove changes made on any System Preferences Editor tab and close the System Preferences Editor window.
